Chapter 1 - 13: Arrival at Nakamura

It wasn't long before Pandora had destroyed at least double as many drones as anyone else could. And then she decided to say something. "Kanya, what are you doing? Stop holding back."

Everyone's attention got pulled towards Kanya's kill count. It was half one of the rookies.

"I'll stop holding back if you will do the same, Pandora."

"Deal."

It wasn't long before the three experienced pilots began to gain kills many times greater than any of the two rookies. They had finally realised that they had a long way to go before being able to challenge any of these elite pilots.

"How in the world did you guys manage to rack up those kills so quickly?"

"Probably experience in high speed battle combined with plenty of talent," Cassandra replied.

Pandora quickly stated, "We're due to arrive at Nakamura soon. The announcement should come any..."

An announcement interrupted Pandora. "We are due to arrive at Nakamura within the next half hour. We will dock with the orbital station. From there, you will be able to take shuttle services down to the surface. We will be meeting the Aegis later, for which all crew are expected to be on board. A schedule will be downloaded to your PDDs which you will be expected to keep."

"OK, so the announcement beat me to it. Let's get ready to leave for the surface. It's bad to be cooped up in a ship for too long."

My Life as of Now

I've been living the life of a typical international student at Melbourne Uni (which means lazy, bored and ,of course, student like life). I apologize for any spam that might have gotten through since my spam filter plugin somehow failed to catch the spam by somehow getting deactivated. I've reactivated it and hopefully removed any spam which I could see.

And then, we have the World Cup. Traditionally, I don't watch any of the games besides the finals or games some people might call notable. This tradition was broken when I decided to follow some friends to another friend's house to watch the first match. (I think it was the first match. Don't ask how uninterested in football/soccer I am. To me, football is only just slightly more exciting than watching cars run around in circles. I do watch cars running in circles, just not very often since it can be less interesting than watching paint dry. Sometimes.)

I've got two more papers before the end, and I fully intend to do the best I can to not screw them up like the first one. :D

Oh yeah, and I reduced the number of posts per page to speed up loading for some people. :P

shockrave seems to have problems loading the sidebar. If you also experience the problem, please tell me what version browser you are using, since I am unable to replicate the issue to fix it. :P

Chapter 1 - 12: Business First

"I'm pretty sure you have no clue why I called you here. Since you are in the military, you should know this is the only room here without surveillance that we can both access," Pandora immediately informed Cassandra. "What is this top secret thing you have to tell me anyway?"

"Erse intends to meet with you when we arrive at Nakamura. You are to take a shuttle to the Aegis as soon as possible. When you arrive, your PDD will automatically tell you where you need to be."

"I don't even have clearance to get on the Aegis."

"You will have temporary clearance when the time comes."

"Can't you tell me anything?"

"Not on this ship, not here. For now, let's just enjoy a light VR session. Whatever I told you is to never leave this room."

It wasn't long until Kanya showed up.

"Pandora is here?"

"Just get in and start playing."

The two rookies Cassandra was supposed to train showed up later. It wasn't long until they decided to determine how good Pandora really was with space combat.

"Yo Pandora."

"What?" she replied as she was busily, but easily cutting through swathes of drones with missiles.

"Wanna show us your skills? Four of us versus you."

"You do know that would be pointless, right? Get real. No human pilot in this piece of junk simulated ship can evade 4 other skilled pilots."

"You're just afraid of losing to us."

"I'd say rather than duelling each other, let's see who can kill more drones in 20 minutes. I'll reset the count and our positions now. 20 missiles."

"You're on."

Funny Things Happen When You Forget

I think I forgot that I have a real name. Since all of you know I'm staying at Arrow, chances are I don't have to pixelate most of the address. Of course, I fully intend to ensure that you don't get my room number without doing some research first.

And yes, I have a real name. Yes, I'm forgetful. And yes, if you can't read it, it says cfgt on the envelope. No, I haven't registered cfgt.net as a company yet.

Update: I've been changing colours around to improve readability of some items, like titles and single post section headers. I probably won't be changing anything else - but I might change fonts later. ;)

As you might have noticed, I've already removed the borders and padding around images. This is because in general I don't need borders, and usually they break emoticons and such. Why would you need borders and padding when I'm going to fill the whole thing anyway?!

What Have I Been Up To?

As you can see, I've been looking through themes and I've come upon one I've liked. Expect loads of modifications as time passes, especially colour wise as well some custom changes. I've also been studying for my exams, so my blogging has been spotty these few days.

Do note that I'm using a search function that came built into the skin. It's a little different from WordPress's normal one in the sense that you type in a phrase, and it searches real time (like Spotlight for Mac users) and returns a short list of results.

Some things like the Google Ads and the Shoutbox may look out of place, but I won't be bothering to tweak them to much seeing as I may switch themes in a month or two anyway.

u238 has expressed some viewing issues with the new template, but I've been unable to reproduce them on my Mac. If you do find any issues concerning the new template, please shout or comment and imageshack a screenshot so that I can 'see' the problem. :D
