My brain has been switched off for the past 7-8 weeks. I went to my midterms with only marginal brain function. I am in fact currently wondering what I have been doing the past 8 weeks. I think my right brain was busy building the entire GMTi and TRi world while it was away on holiday and my left side was barely with me. I believe it may have been calculating the scientific probabilities and realities of what my right brain was imagining. I think I've hit the limit on this new fantasy world, after moving into things such as zero point energy, time travel and even ascension. I think I'm moving a little too quickly already. You can imagine that Alten has a lot of work to do. :D
Back to the Computer
My computer has been acting a little funny lately. My CPU's idle temperature has increased and my graphics card temperature has decreased! What's going to happen next? Both items idle temperature should drop. I'm getting a better quieter CPU fan as well as some better thermal interface material. Nothing should stop my progress to make my computer a cooler and more efficient piece of equipment. Photos coming soon to my blog. Stay tuned for my evil plans. :D
Chapter 1- 03: Time to Go
The truth behind everything hadn't changed. I was still a lowly engineer working on a high class project and stumbled on to some gold mine. However, from what I had gathered, the TRI already had such technology around 3 years ago. I've seen the effect of the devices. A missile suddenly appears out of nowhere, roughly 10 kilometres away from its target - making it nearly impossible to miss. I decided to replicate the method using the teleportation technology we were working on, except that it didn't work as well. About 60% of the time, the weapon detonated as soon as it was reconstructed, giving it little time to function correctly. I eventually converted the weapon into something that latched onto the target, allowing it to detonate immediately. The problem of stealth still became a problem. That was the only huge discovery I made, and it was more of plagarism rather than an original. After that, the GMTi promoted me to this position, I suppose with the hopeful thinking that I would capable of making the technology viable for transport. I had been researching subspace and hyperspace for years, hoping that there would be some guideline for me to use to form this new ship. It was already time to go. I decided that walking would be safer, since the station would come under attack any time now.
I decided to grab Kamal and Jill along for the ride. The ship I intended to steal needs a few crew members anyway.
Back to.... Opera...
I'm back to using Opera. Opera 8 beta rulez and rocks this world. This is one browser worth paying for, even if you could probably get comparable prowsers for free - Internet Explorer, Firefox... bla bla bla... Version 8 seems to have gotten it right, for both platforms, PC and Mac. Sure, the new interface is a little plain - but plain and simple keeps things speedy. (Firefox) This is the browser war. And you definitely get what you pay for. LOL
New Computer Fully Operational
OK, the new computer can now be considered fully operational. It has the proper cabling in the right place, I've just installed a proper high CFM fan in the sidepanel as an exhaust fan, and it is now, I'm happy to report that it is fully operational. It's only a matter of time before it becomes a fully fledged computer with it's own complete system. :D
