Back to Multitasking

For the two previous months, I've been using just my desktop computer and leaving my powerbook on the shelf. Well guess what - it's back on my desktop again. Why? I need my second screen again. My multitasking has taken one hell of a crazy turn. Apparently, my difficulty to pay attention to any single thing for very long does come with its perks.

Among the crazier things I've done at the same time? Writing tests in Python while watching Pirates of the Caribbean and playing Freecell (I do stop watching Pirates when I need to concentrate though). And now? I'm watching some movie while playing Freecell again.

I'm back to being on MSN really often again, since that's what the second screen is mainly for now. Why do I need the second screen? I have started gaming a lot again. I've restarted Eternal Sonata and hope to finish it by the end of the holidays. That's not to mention that I've decided to go back to Neverwinter Nights - and this time, I've got the expansion packs too! (getting it working properly on Vista was no trivial task though).

One has to wonder if I'll advance to having more computers, more servers and more keyboards and more mice at my table one fine day.

I've decided to plot a weekly plan out instead of using the currently confusing 3 days one plan (which I don't stick to anyway). (Hint: M/W/F)

How to Look Stupid Before University Exams None of them are real - although you do occasionally get questions similar to this kind of stupidity in the first or second weeks of class. Unless you happen to be a friend of someone who never goes to class, then you really might get asked a question like this the week before exams.

Gundam 00 Season 1 Completed

Well, I've finally finished watching Gundam 00 Season 1. In my opinion, the pacing was a little slower than Gundam SEED, but considering it's less monotonous and shorter, I'll take it. While they did end the season nicely, with most of the suits destroyed, Earth having united and mass producing GN-X units - the show doesn't hold off on reminding us that a second season is coming. We have Saji Crossroad seemingly being the poor fellow, having been stripped of everything valuable to him, might come into his own in the second season - hopefully doing a little more than standing around and watching people get killed around him.

They reveal that Celestial Being isn't dead, having at least two complete units - perhaps lacking a GN Drive or two - although they haven't revealed Setsuna's fate after the final battle of season one. But knowing Sunrise, nobody's dead until they've melted in a particle beam, gotten stabbed in some vital part. Getting abandoned in space with no apparent means of rescue usually means they're alive.

It's been made clear that some of our main opposition pilots are still alive (even then one that seemingly got erased in a particle beam) and some of our main character pilots are still alive.

As usual, main characters are always too powerful for their own good. 4 pitiful Gundams versus 30 GN-X units plus one Alvatore. And the only survivor of the entire conflict? One damaged GN-X. Highly amusing.

Week 10 Semester 1 2008

So, what am I up to now? Currently, I'm in the midst of multiple assignment deadlines. I've having fun finishing the assignments.

Anyway, I'm now catching up on Gundam 00. The only anime I'm following this season is Special A - and a lot of TV shows I'm following now are due to end next week. Rock Band is due next week as well. Seems like a hell of a coincidence. :D
