Gaming Sessions

I've been gaming quite crazily over the past few weeks. I finished Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade and Xenosaga Episode III. I'm currently going through Disgaea 2 and probably (on Shockrave's recommendation) Tales of the Abyss later. I've already tried Warhammer Mark of Chaos and NFS Carbon, of which neither is to my fancy. I think I'm about a third through Disgaea 2. Many more hours to go. Time to go back to thinking about Sword Fantasy. I think it's high time I build a site proper for it.

Silent update: Anyone notice a new link somewhere? *hehe*

Welcome to 2007!

Another new year, another new operating system, another new day, another new 'new year' resolution. :P(Yes, I've already tried Vista, I've already tried Office 2007. They rock. I have no complaints whatsoever. Besides the lack of some device drivers, and maybe some software like firewalls. They're coming by 30th Jan, I'm sure.)

Well, last year the resolutions were admittedly pretty lame. This year? What new resolutions could I possibly think of? I think it's time I finish off the rules for Sword Fantasy. I know I've removed and deleted the forums. I believe I have the data somewhere. I think it's time I finish off what I started and complete Sword Fantasy once and for all. The game itself obviously will have to wait, but it's high time I stop procrastinating and finish off the RPG rules.

Update : I've made a small dump file at cfgt.net/forums of whatever I could salvage of the mySQL database for the forums. A lot of it was plagued with spam, so there might be things missing. Inform me if you notice anything missing. What else? I suppose I shall resolve to lose some weight this year. :D

Then, we have the story. I think I'll rewrite the first chapter into a more legible and cleaner form before attempting to further along the story.

Internet Problems

Oh well - if you are one of those who can read this post on this date, I suppose you might consider yourself lucky. :D The Internet problem hit seriously until I finally managed to scramble out a proxy server list. For once, I actually have to thank Telstra for the great Internet access. :D I've been up to plenty in the past few days, mostly gaming, of course. Final Fantasy IX, Legend of Mana, Disgaea 2, Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories - bla bla bla. I actually have a rather substantial library to convert into PSP format. My games library (like I hope most do) includes all the FFs for PSX, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross and plenty more RPGs. Especially since the PSP has been lacking RPG action, I think it is finally time for it to prosper as my main console. :D

Having the best of the PSX library being playable for the most part on the PSP is a grand addition to its already formidable game base. Of course, it's nothing compared to the DS, but truth be told, I'm running out of games to play on the DS really quickly. Most DS games don't last very long. Whatever puzzle games there are (barring Sudoku in Brain Age) either bore me out quickly, or aren't close to long enough. :P

Of course, there is Final Fantasy III and Children of Mana to tide me over in the meantime. So far, the only thing I'm waiting for is Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Final Fantasy XII wasn't favourable to me, and so I treat Revenant Wings with similar distaste. :P

Recovering from Trip

I'm kinda still recovering from my trip. Nothing serious, just fell sick yesterday and still feeling sick now. I've got one post ready, to be honest, but I've decided to hold it back in the meantime. It's time I went back and revamped the story to read properly. I'll post another long photo post to make up. :D

Bad Marks for Applied Math Advanced

Oh well. All my marks are out. Needless to say, one subject oddly stood out as awfully bad. I only got 56 for my Applied Math Advanced subject. :P Apparently I wasn't quite as ready as I thought? Or did someone decide it would be fine to give me some sort of warning? The rest of the subjects I thought were fine, and I'll just take this as it is. I have no reason to care too much since this subject isn't quite that important towards my exemptions, I think. :P

Did I get a wake up call? Probably. Although I'm not sure if I did badly because I sucked at it, or because I didn't care much for it. I, myself believe it's the latter. Oh well, what's done is done. Next year is the crazy year - 73 and above for everything except Organisational Behaviour. Heh.

(And thanks to the kind or not-so-kind soul that I'm leeching wireless internet from to make this post. :D)
